You will be required to be available on AIM a reasonable
amount of time. If for some reason you cannot, you will need
to be in contact with your opponents to get your games played.
Should anyone fall behind in playing their games, it will
be at the discretion of the commissioner how to handle the situation.
Quitting
games will absolutely not be tolerated. This is for fun, so don't ruin
it, or waste the time of the people who are interested in playing.
If you quit, you will be immediately removed from the league.
Be
sure to record every game using the built-in recording option for
Nestopia. Any issues that arise out of a game that was not
recorded will likely be "unrulable" and need to be replayed.
If
a glitch occurs, and the game can be proved to have been played to the
5th inning (via a recorded video), MLB 5th inning rain-out rules will
apply. If not, the game will need to be replayed.
The IF fly rule will not be enforced due to its
subjectivity. If it seems as if a player abuses this, it will
be at the commissioner's discretion on how to handle it. Please be a
good sport and play the game with some class.
Intentionally fouling balls is also difficult to
enforce due to its subjectivity. See above rule.
For this season, your batters can play any non-pitching
fielding position.
Intentionally fouling balls to drain a pitcher's stamina is
bad form and should not be practiced. Enforcing this will be
difficult due to its subjectivity, but I'm trusting in the integrity of
the guys in the league, so this should not be a problem.
After the game
Make
sure to communicate that both parties got the save state before
leaving...this is important in case something goes wrong, both parties
will have a backup.
The winner of the game is usually responsible for uploading
the save state, although either party can do this.
When uploading a tournament game, please choose the appropriate ROM for that tournament
The winner of the game is responsible for posting a recap
of the game in this
forum.
Pitching
Only one starting pitcher may be used per game.
You must start the game with your SP. A reliever
cannot start the game.
A starting pitcher may not be used in back-to-back
games that are part of a series, you must alternate them.
You may not use a guy from your bench if it results in the
2nd starting pitcher to enter the game the next inning
Anything
goes style, so curve, knuckleball, fastball. Basically, throw whatever
kind of pitch you want to strike out the opposing batter
When
a new batter comes to the plate, the pitcher must wait until the batter
is set. The batter can indicate that they are ready by taking
one
practice swing. This will give the batter enough time to sub
in
players.
